Basing 6mm Miniatures for Commands and Colors Napoleonics

This is how we based our 6mm figures to replace the wooded blocks used by C&C. The Kallistra hexes are 10cm so we chose 4cm wide bases allowing two bases to fit side-by-side comfortably. Most bases are 40mm x 15mm but can even be 40mm x 30mm (Artillery or Cossacks) or 40mm x 60mm (Artillery caissons).

Line Infantry 40x15mm with 16 figures in 2 ranks. One base is a command base with officer, standard(s), drummer. A unit usually has 4 or sometimes 5 bases.
Grenadier & Guard Infantry 40x15mm with 16 figures in 2 ranks. One base is a command base with officer, standard(s), drummer. Distinguished by uniform (bearskins, big red plumes, kilts, etc.) or crimson standard (British Guard). A unit usually has 4 or 5 bases.
Militia Infantry 40x15mm with 16 figures in 2 ranks. No command base, or command base with no standard, or easily distinguished uniform . A unit usually has 4 bases.
Light Infantry & Rifles 40x15mm with 8 figures skirmishing in 2 lines. One base can be a command base with officer and bugler. Rifles distinguished by green uniform. A unit usually has 3, 4 or 5 bases.
Light Cavalry & Lancers 40x15mm with 6 figures in 1 line. One base is a command base with officer and trumpeter. A unit usually has 3 or 4 bases.
Cossacks 40x30mm with 6 figures in open order. A unit usually has 2 bases.
Heavy Cavalry & Cuirassiers 40x15mm with 6 figures in 1 line. One base is a command base with officer, standard and trumpeter. A unit usually has 3 or 4 bases.
Foot Artillery 40x30mm with 8 figures serving 2 pieces of artillery. One base can be a 40x30mm base with limber or a 60x40mm base with limbers and/or caissons. A unit usually has 3 bases.
Horse Artillery 40x30mm with 8 figures serving 2 pieces of artillery and one mounted officer. One base can be a 40x30mm base with limber or a 60x40mm base with limbers and/or caissons. A unit usually has 3 bases.
Generals 25mm round base with 3 or 4 figures.
