Orders of Battle
for Wargaming the French Army of 1940

The orders of battle listed here have been edited for wargame use, and thus only list the combat troops present in each unit.

As an example, a Char B1 tank battalion had 30 combat tanks and these would be given in the OOB. It also had 1 command tank, 3 replacement tanks, half-a-dozen cars, 80 trucks/lorries, 18 Lorraine carriers and 44 motorcycles none of which were used by combat troops. These extra vehicles and troops were critical in keeping the tanks in action, and certainly needed if you were to run a wargames campaign, but they are not necessary for playing a  normal wargame and I have therefore left them out.
